The discovery of this remarkable process was documented by Georges Lakhovsky in 1924. With his experiments and coil-in-hand ( Nikola Tesla, invented the coil around 1891), he set-out to build a prototype. Using the prototype successfully in French cancer clinics, Lahovsky moved from Paris to New York City (USA) at the onset of WWII. After his death in 1942 and the expiration of his patent, others began to use his technology.
